"Jacinto"
November 7, 2002

Please pray for Jacinto and for his "family" at the Hogar del Nino orphanage in Lemoa at the news of his death.

Jacinto was severely developmentally disabled. He sat in a wheel chair and did not speak. At times, we felt inadequate to meet his challenging needs: Jacinto was very limited in what he could swallow and digest. At age 16, he weighed only 42 pounds. He had open pressure sores from sitting in his chair. Often, Jacinto would cry out in the night and we struggled to try to comfort him...

By faith, we believe that Jacinto is now with the Lord where his spirit shines and he has no more unmet needs. We are thankful. We thank God, too, for Jacinto's time with us and our opportunity to learn and experience God's love for all of His creatures.
