| The six infants at Rayito de
Luz orphanage in Xela (Quetzaltenango) need Similac Advance
baby formula--it comes in a royal blue and yellow and
white can-- and they need disposable diapers, all sizes.
Volunteers in Mission coming to Guatemala are now the
primary source of baby formula for this orphanage. Otherwise
they have only watered-down powdered milk in their baby
bottles.
If you can get baby formula and diapers to Carla Gonzalez-Ranero
at the Volunteers in Mission office in Xela (Quetzaltenango),
then Directora Senorita Marian Samayoa from Rayito de
Luz can pick it up there and take it the short distance
down the road to her orphanage.

Lemoa is located midway between Chichicastenango to
Santa Cruz del Quiché. The Methodist Church camp
is here, on the hillside overlooking the lagoon. The
Hogar del Niño orphanage is in Lemoa. If you
are coming to this area, you could help meet the need
of the children here for: shoes; boy's clothes, all
sizes; toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap.
The airlines typically allow each passenger to check
two pieces of luggage, weighing up to 70 pounds per
piece. If you have room in your luggage for baby formula
or diapers or the other items listed here, they are
greatly needed and will be very much appreciated.
